Hello K-4th Cottonwood Students & Families:

Registration for the 2023-2024 Cottonwood Elementary STEM Fair is now open.

The Cottonwood STEM Fair will be held on December 12 in the gym.

K-4th grade students, click on the Signup Genius link below and complete the registration form. If you are doing a group project, only one group member needs to register, but please add the names of each group member and teacher on the registration form. Students should start on their projects asap to ensure enough time to complete their project.

The 2024 Granite School District STEM Fair Handbook contains all the information you need for the STEM Fair process from start to finish, as well as the Science & Engineering Project Templates, and the Project Notebooks that will help students brainstorm ideas, choose a topic, and work through the scientific process. CLICK AND DOWNLOAD THE HANDBOOK NOW

5th Grade students refer to Ms. Alamo for any questions about the STEM Fair.

This year’s STEM Fair and judging will be done in person, however, we will continue using the Granite School District’s Science & Engineering Project Templates to present projects, rather than tri-fold posters. Students need to pick which type of project they are doing, science or engineering, and then use the corresponding template to create a presentation of their photos, data, and findings that they will then show to the judges on the day of the STEM Fair. The information displayed and the scoring rubrics and standards for advancing to the district and regional science fairs remain the same.
